Quick answer: Instant Herbal Beverage is a low-calorie tea drink (about 6 kcal per serving) made with green and black tea extracts. Stir half a teaspoon into hot water for a warming cup, or into cold water over ice for the refreshing version — it dissolves instantly either way, no brewing required.
The flavours
The 50 g pack comes in four flavours: Original (the classic), Lemon (the summer favourite over ice), Peach (the sweet-leaning choice) and Raspberry (the fruity one). Daily drinkers save with the 102 g Original pack — double the servings, better price per cup. There is also a new Mango Dragon Fruit flavour for something different.
Hot or cold: two preparations
Hot: half a teaspoon in a mug of hot (not boiling) water — winter's answer to the mid-morning slump. Cold: the same amount in a glass of cold water, stir, add ice and a slice of lemon. In summer, make a full jug and keep it in the fridge; at ~6 kcal per serving it is one of the lightest flavoured drinks you can keep on tap.
Where it fits in your day
It is step two of the classic Herbalife morning routine, and works equally well as the afternoon alternative to a fourth coffee. It contains caffeine from tea — a lighter lift than coffee, without the milk and sugar that turn drinks into snacks.
