Quick answer: every recipe below follows the same formula — 2 tablespoons of Formula 1, 250 ml of liquid, one flavour twist, 30–60 seconds in the blender. Prep time: about a minute.
Five with Vanilla Cream
1. Banana Classic — vanilla F1, milk, half a frozen banana. The crowd-pleaser. 2. Vanilla Espresso — add a shot of cooled espresso and ice for a morning double-duty shake. 3. Green Start — milk, a handful of spinach and a few pineapple chunks; you taste the pineapple, not the spinach. 4. Peanut Dream — a teaspoon of peanut butter and ice; add PDM for a gym-day version. 5. Oat Breakfast — a tablespoon of oats blended in, for slower-release energy on long mornings.
Five with the other flavours
6. Choc-Banana — Smooth Chocolate F1 with half a banana: dessert energy, breakfast numbers. 7. Choc-Mint — chocolate F1, milk, 2 fresh mint leaves. 8. Berry Blast — Summer Berries F1 with frozen mixed berries and water for a lighter option. 9. Strawberry Cheesecake — Strawberry Delight F1 with a spoon of plain yoghurt. 10. Cookie Frappé — Cookie Crunch F1 blended long with plenty of ice until frothy.
Three rules for better shakes
Cold liquid always beats room temperature. Frozen fruit beats ice for texture. And measure the powder — guessing changes both the taste and the calories. All five flavours are available in the Formula 1 550 g tub; heavy users save with the twin pack.
Frequently asked questionsDo added ingredients change the calories?
Yes — fruit, oats, yoghurt and nut butters all add calories. Keep additions modest if you are using shakes for weight management.
Can I prepare a shake the night before?
Freshly blended is best; if needed, refrigerate for up to a few hours and shake before drinking.
